My wife used to be a Yankee fan, but I converted her into a Red Sox fan. Well, really, she converted herself: she saw me crying in the dark the night after Aaron &^*(__)(*(**)(*!! Boone hit the home run that ended the 2003 season, and decided that marriage was hard enough without this rivalry making things even more difficult. Besides, she hated how the Yankees only seemed to hire total mercenaries, and furthermore, she developed crushes on David Ortiz and Doug Mirabelli.

So now, we cheer together. We watch all the game thanks to the MLB package. We travel the country watching the Sox play. It's a beautiful thing.

Let this be a lesson to all of you out there who have the unfortunate problem of mixed faiths: there is hope. Yankee fans are capable of seeing the light and spurning the dark side.
