Subject: Cold Soup
Our niece brought her future husband Dave, for a visit to our home in Massachusetts. As they walked into the house I noticed he was sporting a Yankees cap. Now I'll overlook a person's faults if there are mitigating circumstances, however, there is a limit. I informed him that he and not his hat were welcome in our house.
The rest of the evening passed uneventfully and my wife and I wished them a good night's rest and we all retired for the evening.
In the morning I quietly busied myself making coffee for our guests and was unaware that Dave had walked into the kitchen wearing a NY cap, t-shirt, jacket, shorts, socks and shoes. Needless to say, I was shocked. Shocked.
Every dog has his day.
They wed and just recently gave birth to a lovely daughter. I have the photo. Which I doctored and sent to everyone on his mother-in-law's email list.
Revenge is a soup best served cold.
